One of those is the 2X Lift-Off, so-called because… there’s a detachable bit you can lift off!

The detachable unit looks a lot like a Cyberman from Dr. Who, but who should buy one of these? What are the pros and cons and is it worth the money?

Find out all those answers and more, in this unbiased carpet cleaner review.

Product Features & Technical Details

The Lift-Off has dimensions of 0.49 by 1.13 by 0.34 metres. It weighs 11 kilograms, but looks a lot heavier than it really is.

Here are the features we liked most:

Portable. You will find be able to use it almost anywhere. With its spot cleaner you can reach areas that your previous carpet cleaner cannot.

Constant Heat Support. Similar to other machines from Bissell, it is powered by HeatWave Technology that sustains the temperature of the water being used for cleaning.

Power Brushes. You will get 12 cleaning rows of dual rotating DirtLifted PowerBrushes in this equipment. These components will loosen the dirt first, ensuring quicker elimination. It’s the model with the most rotating power brushes.

Performance

It covers more area than most carpet cleaners, and being able to use it on stairs and in your car is a HUGE bonus.

Cleaning is top-notch (you’ll notice a HUGE difference) and it’s got a good suck on it. This extra suction helps it take up more water from the carpet so it’ll dry faster.

It is on the bulky side and you might have problems finding a cupboard to store it in. If space is really at a premium, you might want something a bit more dainty.

Who Should Buy It

There are few better all-rounder carpet cleaning machines on the market, so everyone should at least consider this model. It’s not cheap, but the results and flexibility (carpets, rugs, stairs, cars) are worth it.

Conclusion and Recommendation

If you’ve ever bought hired a carpet cleaner or used a service you’ll have an idea of how expensive it can be to get your carpets professionally cleaned. The fact that you can get similar results from this product makes it value for money in our opinion.

Because it’s so powerful, you’ll get through a fair amount of carpet shampoo, so bear that in mind when ordering.
